Costa del Silencio - "Zona Residencial de
Calidad Turistica"
Consciously we place Costa del Silencio into the
center of our current views of Teneriffa.
Still we are occupied with the "digital
photography" as means of the leisure activities.
The results see it in our Website, on DVDs,
photo exhibitions, photo calendar etc.. The main
catchment area for our motives are the three
tourism centers: In the south: Arona and Adeje
and in the north: Puerto de la Cruz.
Now we decided to emphasize Costa del
Silencio - a small area of the municipality
Arona - and to announce it with its special
characteristics. It is particularly suitable for
long-term holiday-makers, who would like to
spend some months here for the well-being of
their health. Costa del Silencio is not simple a
tourist center with many hotels, but a "Zona
Residencial" - residential area with low
houses. The "alcohol tourism" with its
accompaniments is not desired.
The municipality Arona undertakes enormous
efforts in co-operation with the kanarischen
tourism advice, in order to arrange Costa del
Silencio again to an attractive zone of the
"quality tourism".
We offer twice in the month a walk in Costa
del Silencio to all interested ones, in order to
observe the progress of these efforts. On this
occasion photos are taken up, which are to be
demonstrated then as DVD, - the first at
the end of April 2008 and the second at the
end of of December 2008. We hope to be able to
show these photo shows later in the canarian
and foreign television.

been constructed and now are available
in German, English and Spanish

Presentation of our DVD-Ayuntamiento de
Arona
The inauguration of our DVD takes place
in the principal building in the "Plenum" of
Arona on the 18th of January 2007 at 12:00
a.m. Everybody is heartly welcomed to take
part of this event.

Later the official presentation of the
DVD on the 18th January, 2007 in the
administrative centre of Arona this DVD
was presented in the
culture centre of "Los Cristianos"
till the end of May, 2007.

twice a month in the cultural center of Los
Cristianos commencing October 2007.
Amigos Photo Calendar 2008
As down evidently we have a photo calendar,
which bezihet itself mainly on Costa del
Silencio, for whom year provides 2008.
Amigos-Photo-Competition
We received about three hundred
phoptographs from people who taken part in
this competition. We thank them for their
interest in taking part and contributing
with their excellent photos.
We have chosen about 100 photos to publish -
which you can see them in the Internet. We used
the following principals for making this
selection:

First principle the photos have to show
some characteristics of the Island – for
example:

The Teide is the symbol of Tenerife and is
the highest mountain in Spain. It received in
July 2007 the status “UNESCO World Heritage
Site”.

The Virgin Mary of Candelaria – the
Protector of the Island.
|
|
Painted pictures on the streets for the
feast of Corpus Christri.
|
|
The second part shows different subjects
like landscape, coast, flowers, animals etc.

Start of a new Amigos Photo Competition
The start of a new photo competition will
commence from October 2007 and will be finished
end of April 2008. We are particulary interested
in photographs of the Teide for different
seasons of the year – and other subjects of the
Island.
Beginning of our photographic
activities:
We focus on digital
fotography and occupy ourselves in the
following subjects:

The background of digital fotography

to improve and optimise the fotographs
with the aid of computerprogrammes
|
|
to create a diashow on a VCD or DVD to
get the best effect on your television
screen
|
|
The classes commence in the beginning
of November 2007. The maximum of number in
one Groupe will be 5 persons. Each student
has the opportunity to use one computer.
Each lesson last for two hours and and the
fee for participating is 15 Euro per
session. The total course will consist of
5 lessons.

These classes are prepared in the
beginning only for German speaking people.
