Southern zone
We can refer as a master example to the other climatic zone in Costa del Silencio, Los Cristianos and Playa Las Américas. This zone is situated leeward, that means where the winds do not fall in, the temperature is warm during the whole year, so in a way one would be able to speak of a permanent summer, although with more oscillations of temperature (20 - 25 C) and rainfall very scarce.
This climatic atmosphere would be beneficial for those suffering rheumatic or neurological illness, (multiple sclerosis for example), asthma and certain skin diseases like psoriasis. In this connection we have to refer to the Clinic Vintersol, Los Cristianos, which has been functioning for three decades, connected to the Swedish Health Insurance – and it attends to envelope the treatment for people with rheumatic or neurological problems.
Final observation
Peace and tranquillity are breathed into both zones – so it is a suitable place for recuperation for those people suffering from mental depression. The suggestions in this article are only general, each individual person will have to consult with his own doctor who will then select the climatic conditions best suited for his individual requirements.
